My personal writing process can be described as slightly non existent. Normally, I start a writing a reasonable time before a project is due and revise as I go. When possible, I try to work on my project consistently from start to finish with little time gaps so I can stay on track both time wise and idea wise. If it's not required, I don't fill out an outline or do any rough drafts. I think it's easier to revise as I go because when I go back and revise then I tend to change the whole thing and sometimes even end up rewriting my paper. I do brainstorm and write out a couple ideas before I start sometimes. I prefer to write long papers and essays on a computer, but I would much rather take notes and do things like that with pen and paper. Coffee shops, libraries, and even parks are good places for me to write. Basically anywhere but home because then I'm temped to do other things. This semester I would like to improve my writing process by planning ahead a little better and maybe even using an outline.
